At Ready Set Go Race Timing our aim is to offer a comprehensive and professional race/event timing at an affordable price.
TIMING SOLUTIONS
FOR YOUR EVENT
Ready Set Go Race Timing is able to provide both RFID and manual timing solutions to suit a range of race formats...
RFID timing - provides the ability to record times for large numbers of entrants or busy line crossings such as in lap relay races. Ready Set Go Race Timing uses a finish line mat antenna and/or side antenna (or overhead gantry) to read transponders attached to bib numbers, or tags attached to ankle, wrist or helmet. Currently we only have one tag reader unit which means we are largely restricted to recording times at only one location but for most events this is sufficient, and there are ways to expand this if required.
Examples of events using Ready Set Go RFID timing included Kaikoura Whale Run Fun Run/Walk (Half Marathon, 12km, 5km events), Tekapo 10 MTB relay & Rakahuri Rage 6 Hour MTB relay.
Manual timing - don't underestimate the capability of manual timing for certain events, particularly those events with a single finish line or with remote transition stations. In general with manual timing you need to have more people at the timing locations and a bit more control of the finish chute, but if done right it can be very successful and save a lot of money for event organisers.
Examples of events using Ready Set Go Manual timing include the North Canterbury Primary Schools Cross Country Championships (400+ runners over 8 events) and the Amberley Rellie Challenge.

ABOUT US
We started Ready Set Go Race Timing specifically to provide smaller community fundraising event organisers with a quality timing solution while ensuring they are able to maximise their event’s potential revenue. We believe your fundraising efforts should result in money to put back into your community - not to pay for an expensive - and sometimes over-the-top - timing service.
So if you’re looking to create a quality race/event and need a comprehensive timing solution at a realistic price - talk to us first! We'll take the hassle of race timing away from your team of volunteers - no more having to organise and train volunteers each year to operate your old-school timing system.
We've found most community race events don’t need chip timing, and our basic manual system is well set up to do just about everything an RFID system can do at a fraction of the cost. However, if you do have a larger or more complex race we can now offer chip timing as an option and we are keen to discuss your timing requirements to ensure we have the best system at the best price to make your event a success.
